Hi everyone.
I'm about to start a rebuild project on my Gepard that has been collecting dust the last past 20 years. First I'll start with adding every goody possible, then it's time to do the paint job (could be a few months from now )
Anyway, I don't have an airbrush yet, but what do you who have recommend? It is my understanding that buying a so called starter kit isn't wise because it's only suitable for large area's. What sort of stuff will I need to do a nice camouflage paint job without it costing an arm and a leg?
Thanks in advance !

Hi PantzerYogi,
Unfortunately you have to pay a lot, to get a good result. More important as a gun is a ( I dont know the word ) Kompressor.
I coul recommend a Triplex or a Aztek gun.
The Kompressor should have a air tank and a (dont know the
word too) Wasserabscheider.
So you get a constant pressure and no water in the colour.
If you only want to paint one model, it´s to expensive.
But if you build models for longer, you need something like this.
Hope i could help you.

Hi Felix,
Thanks for your answer. I heard that Badger is pretty good too. I better start saving money now to buy something decent later on. You've been very helpful.
Shuss !

Hi Axel.
Thank you, that's very helpful indeed. Now to decide what I want..choices, choices...
I know, I should have used the search before I posted this...but it was part of my plan to get the English board started.
Cheers.

I think Aztek belongs to Badger, but I´m not sure.
The Aztek guns are very light, and not so good to clean.
It´s very difficult to take apart the nozzle.
My favourit is a Triplex gun, but I can´t say why.
The choose of the gun is a personality question.
Take the gun in the hand at a shop, so you can better make a decision.
