Almost two months have passed. For some time I lost heart for a russian tanks... but well - I keep working.
I mostly focused on small parts:
I finished the tensioner arms:
Made some hinges:
Finished brass hooks:
Made track pin bumpers:
Made some more wheel hubs:
Made suspension arm locks:
But the most challenging part I made was central plate of rear deck:
I started with the most difficult part because it impacts my whole idea of rear-deck assembly. I was afraid that my DIY press and my DIY forming die may fail. Well... finally they didn't

hello Konrad,
very impressive again!
How thick is your sheet metal?
How strong was the hydraulic pressure?

It is 1,5mm copper, and press is based on a hydraulic 50-ton jack. Chinese tons I suppose...

I keep working.
First of all I am trying to make my model as "modular" as possible. I managed to print the box for hull electronics. It contains/will contain Elmod, two ESCs, two loudspeakers, BMS and majority of cables.
Meanwhile I also managed to get my hands on some castings - machine gun shield, suspension arms and the front element of early T-34/76 hull.

There is some progress. Not much... For some reason I can not force myself to start the cable work.
Instead I made the recoil mechanism:
Somehow I managed to fit the gun incline -4 to 20 degrees, with recoil of 30mm and avoid colliding with the hull structure.
I also finished hull machine gun guard:
Hexagonal screws are not correct, I willalso definetly replace 3d-printed plate with brass and I will try to cast a zamack barrel shroud.
Except that I think it is a nice copy of real thing

Technology, as space-saving as possible.
It looks like an industrial product!

Hello,
I am still here. I just got stuck a little bit... again... Last year I printed some resin details and I got terrifided that next steps should be cable management, setting everything up, painting...
I chose to train on another subject - printed FT-17 in 1:6 scale. I am painting it, crimping connectors, soldering cables, playing with recently purchased TX16S radio... It will be nice to finally have a running model.
So there is also a non-zero chace I will soon get un-stuck with my T-34;)

hello .....
what a beautiful model!
The replica of a pioneering design in tank construction.
With this weight, your model will certainly move very much like the original tank in the field.
Congratulations on the FT 17!
Reinhard
