Just thought I'd post some pics of my Tamiya Leo. Hope they work.
BTW, Does anyone know of a company that makes the Leopard 2A4 type hull skirts for the Tamiya Leopard 2A6?

WOW .... very nice work
This version is used in german army exercise demonstations ("Lehrvorführung").
The white tapes on the right side of the turret is used to mark special parts of the tank, so the officer students can see what the teacher is talking about.

Yes ... this video is from an army exercise demonstation ("Lehrvorführung") for a officers seminar which was held in novebmer 2004 on training area "Oberlausitz" (in estern Germany, near the polisch boarder).
This special part of exercise demonstations schows the difference between the older version 2A4 and the newer version 2A6 of the german Leopard 2 tank. There fore, the majour visible modification on the leopard 2A6 are marked with yellow tape.
The guy who made this Video is allso a member of this forum. May by he ca give you some more and detailed Videos of this exercise. His nickname in this forum is "Norbert".

Thank you for the information on the Leo, Robert.
The tape needs to be yellow, it seems. Must find some yellow pinstriping tape.
Pictures of the Oberlausitz Leopard would be great! I will look for Norbert, here!

A search of the forum found this thread to help with the scratch building of the lighter hull skirts:

The yellow tape has replaced the white masking tape and it looks much better. Now to make the hull skirts. That will probably keep me busy for a while.

Completed the old style skirts and put yellow tape on it.
Not sure if the shape of the skirts are 100% right. Don't know if I want to put the camo paint on them, either.

Norbert!
Thank you for the information about the tank's unit. Just couldn't tell from the video. Guess I'll have to get the decals back out.
The unit shield on the fender next to the circle '70' would be black and red with the horse and stars? I can see the shield in the video, but not what is in it.
BTW, thanks for posting the Leo videos on YouTube! I watch them alot!

That Leopard gets better looking all the time. Couldnt you use the skirts off a Leo1 or Gepard?

Norbert,
Thank you again. It is now 203 tankplatoon.
Must turn off the lights!
Leo2A6Owner,
I was thinking about that. Probably wouldn't be too hard to modify them for the correct pattern. Not sure if they are the right length, tho'.
Going to keep these for now. Somehow, the loader's side skirts ended up mounted a little off. Might have overlooked the flash from cutting the other skirts off the mounts. Sooner or later I'll have to remove them and find out why they aren't mounted flush.

Had to put mud and dust on it. The Leopard didn't look right without it.
Hope it looks better with the dirt.
