Just recieved these head blanks from a friend today. They are made so the builder can slice the face off a Dragon 1/6 figure and adapt it to fit the front of the head blank. This keeps your AFV from looking like its crewed by twins or triplets.
Enjoy

Hi Sean,
very interesting alternative to make a BW-Figur! When I was building my Wiesel in 1:8 scale I had also the problem, that there is no BW-Figur availlable in the right scale. In 1:6 scale you can get many figurs, but not with the right uniform and equipment.
For the Wiesel I decided to make the uniform and the helmet by myself. For the helmet I striped a balloon over the head and applied several layers of soft paper with glue (PONAL) over the balloon. Two days later I removed the balloon between the head and the hardened helmet. Then I cutted the helmet into the right form and applied the details to the helmet.
For the Uniform I used an old shirt and a uniform in 1:6 scale as pattern. See also the pictures attached.

The faces have been added to the blanks and painted. They really do look the part once installed. I am suprised no other company has made this headgear.

The caps were painted with a base of nato black to look like black fabric or cloth and the leather pads were painted with flat black and burnished a bit to produce a slight luster.
