Thanks guys
Axel i will have to look for that grip tape when i get to the states. I think i know what you are talking about. Similar to what is on the outdoor steps of some buildings.
I still wont have the Leopard in MY posession until late january but I can still get the supplies i need. Im juat happy the tank is at the distributor now and he is well known for excellent customer service. I will have to do a test for either the sand method and the stippling method The stippling has the benefit of being a little more controllable.

Sorry for being gone so long everyone. I didnt forget about you. Some good news on the Leopard2 front. It leaves the UK tomorrow. I hope to have it in my hands and chewing up my grass within 10 days.
heres some pics of it as it was finished. I cant tell from the pics because the lighting is a bit bad BUT the colors look off. I do however have many bottles of the correct type.

Hi Leo2a6Owner,
to get the images displayed in your post you have to store your images somewhere in the web. Most guys here have their own web site with space to put images on it. Images can be stored in the rc-panzer user gallery too. It's important to have public access to it (not in a secured area protected by passwords) and to know the entire address and name (URL) of it. This can be checked by entering the complete address with name of image into your browsers address field. You should get your image in the browsers window.
An example address is http://www.boorad.de/Header/boorad_logo.gif where http://www.boorad.de/Header/ is the address and boorad_logo.gif is the name of an image.
Next step is to use the "BILD" tool at left side of replay screen. Now enter the complete address and name of image. After this you should get some strange looking words in your post with square brackets around it.
You have attached you image files to your post so they appear as little symbols below your post. As you might have noticed it's only possible to attach one file per post. If you show your images with the way i described above you can show as many images you want in one post.
Hope this will help.

Hello Sean,
Considering Marks poor photographic skills it looks pretty good. Nothing that cannot be improved with a little wash and weathering.
Fingers crossed.
Cheers,
Ad

Well i recieved the leopard on monday. Needless to say as you can see the colors it came in were way off. There was also some refinement needed on the hull and turret. Sink marks were filled and cracks were repaired. Then the whole vehicle was sanded and resprayed in the proper base color of Tamiya Nato Green. Once my fine airbrush gets to me i will apply the brown and green in the proper pattern. Overall the detail is adequate but there are areas that need improvement. Unfortunately it is freezing in my garage in my new house and there are no lights or heat in the garage. The fine detail work will have to wait till spring.
Axel Once you review these pics could you please let me know what detail parts you have available so i can commence adding them to this? Your light assemblies are beautiful Im even tempted to get a set of turret smoke dischargers too.
here are the pics. The most current are the ones where it is all one color.

Hi Sean,
what parts do you wish to change !? you can see in our model specification what parts we have already build. I think it is not advisable to mix to much parts in 1/6 and 1/7 !!!
best regards
axel

Probably just the headlights, the side marker lights(the ones on the front corners that are amber in color), a full set of ice cleats for the front, and proper looking mirrors and mounts for them.
The cleats on it are woefully oversize and look kind of out of place. The corner marker lights dont even exist on mine just the protective guards for them. The headlights are just primitive looking cups that are mounted wrong to begin with. Masinly the smaller bits that to the casual person would look correct even though they are one scale smaller. I think the difference to these wont be that apparent once mounted. Th mirrors i have are just flats of plastic mounted to a bent wire and dont have any of the detail of the actual mounts.
Anything you can do to help would be great since there are NO aftermarket parts for this tank.

O im also looking for a 1/6 MG-3 or MG42. Need to scratch up a mount for it on the loaders hatch slide rail. If anyone has any good leads on that it would be very helpful.
I know the tank doesnt have its turret baskets installed. there is a simple reason for this. They werent delivered to the UK with it. This has been fixed though and i should be getting the baskets shortly.

Having recieved the replacement parts from mark earlier this week i was able to get the Leo back up and running. Todays weather was beautiful so i decided to take the leo out and finally give it a good hearty run. WOW now that i have the track issue solved it runs like a dream and didnt have any track troubles at all. I took it to a nice dirt pit, used to have mud but it dried up. then brought it home and took it around the block. Still no troubles, all my linkers are staying in place and theres no binding at all. While i was running it around the yard my wife decided to take this little video of it with our digital camera.
Enjoy
